Chinese is spoken in many countries such as Republic of China, Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. Chinese has may dialects, Mandarin based on the pronunciation of Beijing is considered the standard. Fukienese is spoken in Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia. Cantonese is spoken in Hong Kong.
